Our main mediator is Edwina Vardey. She trained with National Family Mediation from 2010 and is accredited with The Law Society, the College of Mediators, and is a member of the Family Mediation Council.
Before being a family mediator, Edwina ran a large business unit within the public sector, and brings a combination of personal and business skills to Forum Mediation. Her experience of negotiating with families, children and institutions goes back over 20 years.
She has worked as an “in court” mediator, and has witnessed the negative impact, emotionally and financially, on all those involved. Edwina has delivered court-ordered Separated Parents' Information Programmes and has supported and helped clients who have suffered domestic abuse but need to set in place arrangements as speedily as possible. She is also qualified to see children in mediation.
Remember, even if you are not on the best of terms with the other party Edwina is here to support you in exploring ways forward, ensuring you make your own decisions in an impartial safe environment. All agreements are recorded and can be endorsed by a court if required.
